Indy's Longest Running Show!WHAT IS A COMEDYSPORTZ MATCH LIKE?
Two teams battle for laughs and points as they make up scenes, games and songs on the spot, in the spirit of TV’s Whose Line Is It Anyway? A referee governs the action, calling fouls, and keeping the match moving at a blistering pace. Every match is different, with different players, different games, and different audiences supplying new suggestions. The fans judge the games and ultimately decide the winners and losers. ComedySportz also asks willing volunteers to join us for a game or two each match, and we make them look great!
WHO SHOULD I BRING TO COMEDYSPORTZ?
We recommend ages 4 – 104. ComedySportz is perfect for dates, celebrations, a night out on the town, or even quality time with the family. (Kids love it as much as grown-ups!) The audience of a typical ComedySportz match contains everyone from kids to college students to parents to grandparents. Everyone has a good time and no one gets offended. If a Player steps beyond the boundaries of good taste, the “Out of Bounds” foul will be called to set things straight. ComedySportz even works for tough-to-please business groups.
HOW LONG DOES A COMEDYSPORTZ MATCH LAST?
An average ComedySportz match lasts about 90 minutes
CAN I BOOK IN ADVANCE?
Yes! You may purchase seats for an upcoming match online or by calling the box office at (317) 951 – 8499. Subject to availability, you can also purchase seats at the door the night of the match. Door tickets go on sale 30 minutes before the start of the match, but the only way to guarantee seats is to buy online. If you’re interested in bringing a large group (10 or more), having at birthday party at a match, or want to book a private event, simply contact our Box Office at (317) 951 – 8499.
DO YOU GUYS TELL JOKES ABOUT SPORTS?
Nope! This is comedy played as a sport. We’re improvisers, so we make up scenes and songs on the spot based on your suggestions. If you suggest “soccer,” we’ll incorporate soccer into the scene, but if you suggest “Mitochondrion, the powerhouse of the cell” we’ll do a scene about that, too. The “Sportz” part of our name comes from the competitiveness – there are two teams who try to out-funny each other for votes from you, the Loyal Fans! There are points, a referee, even fouls… but as with all sports, there is only one winner.
IS FOOD AND / OR ALCOHOL SERVED?
Yes! We are proud to serve the fresh and delicious LaRocca's Pizza! You can get a personal or large pizza with loads of toppings options or a hot sandwich! Or if you're feeling more snack-ish, you can get classic concession stand food like popcorn, nachos, soft pretzels, and candy! Then wash it down with Coke products from our fountain, and we have a fine selection of domestic and craft beers, cider, and wine!
WILL I GET PICKED ON AT YOUR SHOW? CONVERSELY, CAN I HECKLE PERFORMERS?
No. This isn’t stand-up so heckling isn’t really our thing – instead we prefer to engage with you. A ComedySportz match is interactive – we ask for suggestions and occasionally volunteers – but we never force anyone to participate. Promise. Think of it more like theater than stand-up.

Yes! ComedySportz sets the bar high; everyone laughs, everyone has a good time. In addition to welcoming many different groups at our ComedySportz matches, we’ve done matches for audiences from 10-3000+ all over the country.
