Phil Johnson
Phil Johnson has an action packed show filled with his two loves, comedy and music. It’s a show filled with sharp unexpected turns, sneak attack jokes, and hilarious songs that doesn’t shy away from controversial territory… race, sex, religion, and doughnuts – so many doughnuts – all delivered from the viewpoint of a guy who happily grew up in the deeply multi-everything community of the San Francisco Bay Area.
Phil has been seen and heard at the Sundance Film Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, on Sirius/XM and Bob and Tom radio, and on Amazon Prime. He’s also released multiple comedy specials and albums filled with his colorful, tightly-written comedy.
RA Curtain CallRoadside Attraction comes from leader Phil Johnson’s twin careers in music and comedy. “The idea here is songs that are musically interesting and challenging, but also funny, and understandable by a casual music listener,” says Johnson. It’s more eclectic than Stephen Lynch, funnier than Prince, and more palatable than Frank Zappa, though influences of all three abound.
“Afrodizzyac” is their take on Blaxploitation film themes. This one is about an international super spy (Afrodizzyac) saving the women of the world from his archenemy, Left Nut. “Brown Ring Around The Collar” is a happy tirade about the stupid people we meet every day. And “Hella Good Day” is Phil Johnson’s own musing on what would make his perfect day. “I wrote it during a really bad day and it helped cheer me up. I don’t expect people to personally relate to each lyric. But I hope it will make them think about what would make them happier.”
Two of the greatest forms of release are live music and a hearty laugh. And Roadside Attraction delivers in spades as evidenced by the audience of young and old, and every ethnicity you’ll find in the audience. KEON POLEE
Keon Polee is one of the funniest comedians coming out of the bay area. Now living in Los Angeles, he has performed internationally including South Korea and Japan for the troops as well as Canada. You can see him on Aspire TV's "We got next", Laughs on Fox, TruTv's Laff Tracks and "Tony Baker and friends on amazon prime. He is also featured on internet radio such as Pandora, Spotify and SiriusXM.

Kabir Singh - Born in 1984 in Portland, Oregon to stereotypical Indian parents, Kabir Singh realized at an early age that it wouldn't be easy making friends at school. Luckily for Kabir, he soon became known as the funniest Indian kid in Oregon - not too difficult considering he was the only Indian kid in Oregon. When he was nine, his family moved to Bombay, India where he was bullied and teased for being American which taught him how to make people laugh in no less than three languages. At 13, Kabir moved back to the US ( Fremont, CA ) where he was made fun of for being Indian! Kabir currently resides in LA but, His Bay Area roots are strong with him.
