In the depths of the Porters Theatre, a mythical Welsh wrestling ‘legend’, long thought missing, has decided to act out his plan to take vengeance on those he has considered his long time foes: stand up comedians.
Comedy Smackdown is a stand up comedy night where the best of the stand up circuit (who are brave enough) get together in a one night competition where they will be challenged in uniquely created ‘matches’ which will challenge their ability to think on their feet and create moments that you will only be able to recall by using those fateful words of ‘you had to be there’.
Their prize will be to be crowned that night's Comedy Smackdown Champion, an award they will only be able to achieve by impressing their audience enough to earn your vote!
Join good ol’ JD, alongside his trusty companion Ref, will be there to reside over proceedings and to guide through this crazy world. Expect swerves, turns and suplexes*!
