A SHOWCASE OF COMEDY FEATURING‘A Slight Misunderstanding’ – a short play by Adrian Dale. A comedy of confusion
A women’s guild meeting descends into chaos as the expected jumble sale is taken over by an eccentric outsider who has been booked to talk about flower arranging without flowers. The Guild members jostle to offer competing talks for five minutes each to decide who should perform at the next meeting. Extraordinary things happen with much hilarity.

4 women – a bitchy cynic, a gadget-needy wheedler, an out-of-her-depth team leader and a post-breakdown Christian bird-lover – are on a work team-building ‘outward bound’ retreat in early November. They become stranded on a small island in the middle of Derwent water. Tensions run high (and the comedy flows) as they run out of food and options.
