Nick Enrich, author of NYT Bestseller "Into the Woodchipper," is teaming up with us for a show about finding humor & catharsis post USAID
About this Event

*Happy Hour: 7:00 - 7:45pm

*Show: 8pm

Heartbreak anniversaries are always a bit rough, and we all have our ways of dealing. Scream-singing in the car to Lana del Rey, eating Ben and Jerry's like they're a major food group...all valid means of processing big feelings.

But in the wake of the dismantling of USAID, Nick Enrich decided to do something a bit different: he wrote a book.

One involuntary RIF and two hundred and forty pages later, Into the Wood Chipper: A Whistleblower's Account of How the Trump Administration Shredded USAID came to be. And on August 29th, Nick will be joining Grassroots Comedy for an evening that's part book talk, part comedy show, and entirely cathartic.

In additon to author commentary from Nick, the evening's programming will include a pre-show happy hour with custom cocktails from Hustle Hut as well as standup from former-feds-turned-comedians including Sarah Ellison, Javier Vacaour, Madeline Velturo, and our founder, Chris Blackwood. Post-show, signed copies of Into the Chipper will be available for purchase.

So mark your calendars and come see what happens when comedy meets courage.
