The final Thursday of every month, The Ideal Theater & Bar in NewBo hands the stage to stand-up — a curated lineup of local sharp-shooters, regional headliners on their way up, and, when the routing works in our favor, a national touring comic looking for a real room on a Thursday night. One ticket, the full bill. Three to five comics, an MC who actually knows how to set a room, and a crowd that came to listen.

The room is built for it: a small theater with sightlines that don't lie, a stage close enough that the comic can see you laugh (and close enough that they can see you not laugh), and a bar that takes its cocktails as seriously as the bookings. Order something proper before the lights come down. Stay for the after-set conversation at the bar.

Doors at 6:30 PM. Show at 7. The final Thursday of every month.
