Stand Up Comedy in Reading is back. Mates Rates Comedy is proud to present Comedy at Turtle with Headliner Ali Woods.Mates Rates Comedy has teamed up with The Purple Turtle to bring you the best acts from the UK comedy scene.
We will have TV names, up and coming circuit comics and as always you will be guided along by our trusty MC Carl Richard.
The show takes place at The Purple Turtle between 6:30pm-8:30pm (doors open 6:00pm).

Ali Woods
Ali Woods is a half-English, half-Scottish comedian, podcaster and content creator. Fresh off his first sold out show at the Edinburgh Fringe this year, Ali is a refreshing mix of the ‘every man’ and the ‘modern man’, whose sensitivity and genuine interest in men’s mental health gives him a great perspective on the modern ‘lad’ culture which often features in his comedy. Ali is that wonderful blend of comedy with a heart, speaking on topics such as football, the environment, and many social causes close to his heart.Ali won Hackney Empire New Act of the Year 2020 and has appeared on BBC Radio 4, TalkRadio, TalkSport alongside hosting his own podcast ‘All I Do Is Fail’. His online comedy sketches under the tag @aliwoodsgigs have gained millions of views and likes, and featured on LadBible and Buzzfeed UK.
