Comedy at Madocke

This Friday we are back upstairs at Madocke with a line up of the best comedians from around Australia and internationally at one of the Gold Coast's newest and coolest breweries. Belgian beers, big laughs and the perfect way to knock-off for the week every Friday night.

We're in for a real treat this week with a double-header of amazing talent coming in hot to give you a night of laughs you won't soon forget. The incredibly hilarious Bonnie Tangey Comedy is coming all the way from Sydney to headline and is not an act to miss seeing. Charming rogue and crowd favourite Sam Bowden is here to host and introduce us to a specially curated lineup of homegrown stand up talent. We can't wait to see you there.

Bonnie Tangey’s comedy is a unique mixture of prop comedy, poetry and deadpan stand-up. She was the 2017 Raw Comedy runner up and was a cast member of Comedy Zone at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2018. She’s been seen on ABC’s Comedy Up Late and Tonightly with Tom Ballard. Bonnie was also awarded the prestigious prize of Best Easter Bonnet at Newstead Primary Schools Easter Bonnet Parade, 1994

Sam Bowden is a comedian, actor and writer who's been plying his craft both in Australia and the UK since 2013. Originally from Brisbane, Sam has performed alongside some of the biggest names in Australian comedy and opened for the likes of Danny Bhoy (UK) and Brian Posehn (US). His debut solo show The Epicurean Shark enjoyed a sellout run at the Wonderland Festival in 2018, and was selected to open the inaugural comedy gala at the MELT queer festival in Brisbane and perform at Queerstories the following year. Regularly performing at legendary venues like Giant Dwarf and The Comedy Store down in Sydney, he's come back up to Queensland over Christmas to avoid the pox. Come watch his ego inflate as he continues to do the world's best job of comedy.

Next to our beers, we also serve a variety of QLD wines, gins, vodka and cocktails. There will be something for everyone.
