Got a funny story that you'd like to be able tell in front of a live audience? Look no further.
In this workshop, three-time winner of the NYC Moth storytelling competition Melanie Hamlett will cover the basics of storytelling including how to choose which stories to tell, how to craft each one in the most compelling way, and how to do so for the stage vs written. And of course, how to make it funny.
The workshop is aimed at new and seasoned storytellers and/or writers. Anyone can tell a story, but telling it in a humorous way is next level stuff.
Participants should bring a pen and paper.
This workshop will be delivered in English.
The venue is wheelchair accessible.
About the instructor:
Melanie Hamlette is a freelance journalist, comedian, storyteller, public speaker and writing/storytelling coach based in NYC and France.
Her bylines include Harper's Bazaar, The Washington Post, Glamour Magazine, The Huffington Post, The Guardian, Playboy, Marie Claire, Outside Magazine, Slate, Shondaland , Decider, etc.
Melanie has been featured on multiple podcasts, including Risk! (nine times) and she has performed in NYC, LA, and now Europe for over a decade.
