Amtgard is a free to play Foamstick Fighting, Medieval Fantasy style Boffer Combat Sport, with LARP style mechanics. There are multiple non-combat components as well such as Arts and Sciences for artists, crafty folks and builders; Bardic Performance to demonstrate performance arts like singing and poetry; and Roleplay and character interactions; as well as a unique social club for often nerdy folks and political offices to run the organization.
We have loaner and extra equipment for new folks. If new and interested in fighting, recommend bringing kneepads, gloves, hat, and any other athletic protective equipment.
Ethereal Tides is the name of the local Rochester Group [Park], part of the tri-state area known as the Kingdom of Polaris [MN, WI, IL].

Players arrive and stage equipment and warm up at 2pm with battlegames starting shortly after.
