Come Together! 20 Years of Mary Broadcast

Im Jubiläumsjahr präsentiert die umtriebige Künstlerin neben mehreren Veröffentlichungen (zB Remixes und neue Versionen bestehender Songs) auch besondere Konzert-Highlights. Am 21. November versammelt sie für einen Abend in der Sargfabrik in Wien (siehe Termine unten) zahlreiche Weggefährten aus 20 Jahren Bandgeschichte, darunter neben ihrer aktuellen Bankbesetzung aus Jimi Dolezal (guit, voc), Thomas Hierzberger (bass, synth, piano, voc) und Andi Senn (drums, voc) auch Chris Fillmore an der Gitarre, Julia Radschiner und Anton Funkton am Bass, Rupert Blahous und Melissa Jank an den drums, Emi Ly (Emily Smjekal), Andrea Fränzel und Philipp Schörghuber am Bass sowie Anja Wiesinger (SISTAS) und Mario Amiro als gesangliche Verstärkung. Gemeinsam werden sie die wichtigsten Kapitel der Mary Broadcast-Story musikalisch zum Leben erwecken und durch alle Alben und ihre Besetzungen wandeln - introspektiv, kraftvoll und spielfreudig.

Teil des Mammut-Projekts ist eine öffentliche Probe am 12. Oktober im Cafe Carina in Wien. Tagsüber (11.00 bis 18.00 Uhr) kommen alle ehemaligen Bandmitglieder zusammen, und das Publikum bekommt die einmalige Gelegenheit, an der Probearbeit dieser Reunion teilzuhaben. „Das wird sozusagen ein Mary Broadcast Frühshoppen, wo wir uns gemeinsam die eine oder andere Erinnerung ins Gedächtnis rufen und in einem entspannten Ambiente tratschen können. Eine Probe ist ja kein Konzert, schließlich liegen manche Alben, Songs und Besetzungen 20 Jahre zurück – das muss zelebriert werden“, sagt die Künstlerin über das Vorhaben.

In this anniversary year, the prolific artist is presenting several releases (e.g. remixes and new versions of existing songs) as well as special concert highlights. On 21 November, she will gather numerous companions from 20 years of band history for an evening at the Sargfabrik in Vienna (see dates below), including her current band members Jimi Dolezal (guitar, vocals), Thomas Hierzberger (bass, synth, piano, vocals) and Andi Senn (drums, vocals), Chris Fillmore on guitar, Julia Radschiner and Anton Funkton on bass, Rupert Blahous and Melissa Jank on drums, Emi Ly (Emily Smjekal), Andrea Fränzel and Philipp Schörghuber on bass, as well as Anja Wiesinger (SISTAS) and Mario Amiro on vocals. Together, they will bring the most important chapters of the Mary Broadcast story to life musically, revisiting all the albums and their line-ups – introspective, powerful and full of joy.

Part of this mammoth project is a public rehearsal on 12 October at Cafe Carina in Vienna. During the day (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.), all former band members will come together, and the audience will have the unique opportunity to participate in the rehearsal work of this reunion. "It will be a Mary Broadcast morning pint, so to speak, where we can reminisce together and chat in a relaxed atmosphere. A rehearsal is not a concert, after all, some of the albums, songs and line-ups are 20 years old – that has to be taken into account.
