Come Spring, Again

“Come Spring, Again,” the annual Alan Kirkbride Memorial Poetry Gathering is focused on celebrating National Poetry Month.  Nine regional poets are performing a variety of poetry styles in the Cheyenne Frontier DaysTM Old West Museum’s carriage hall. Some returning and some new poets are gathering to bring the art of the spoken word to the Cheyenne community and beyond, in honor of the late Alan Kirkbride’s love of poetry. 

We invite you to enjoy this gathering at the CFD Old West Museum, with music, refreshments, visiting with friends and poets and even book signing. 

New this year is the 'Come Spring, Again Poetry Slam' co-sponsored and held at Laramie County Community College on Saturday, April 20, 2024, 1-3:00 pm at the Health Sciences Bldg, Room 111.  High school and college students are eligible to participate. Limited entries are on a first come, first served basis. Participants are expected to bring 3 original poems for 3 possible rounds with only top performing poets moving on to the next round.
