Come And Hear: A Women’s Testimony Gathering

Do you remember testimony nights? When people would stand up and simply tell what the Lord had done in their lives? I miss that. Somewhere along the way we got away from sitting together and hearing the goodness of God through testifying.

The Lord put it on my heart to bring it back.

This isn’t a conference. It isn’t a production. It’s an afternoon for women to gather, worship, laugh, cry, and make room for stories that point back to Jesus.

I’ll be sharing my own testimony, how God has been teaching me to trust Him in seasons of fear. My cohost, a friend I actually met through stepping out in faith by hosting an event earlier this year, will be sharing hers too. And then we’re opening the floor. Not just for questions about what we shared, but for any woman who wants to stand up and tell her own story. Maybe someone in the room is walking through the very thing you walked through last year. Maybe your testimony is the word she needs today. We’ll pray for one another right there. Whether your story is ten years old or ten days old, there is room for it here.

This is for the woman who has been praying for real friendship. The woman asking God for friends who love Him the way she’s learning to. The woman who wants conversations that go deeper than small talk, who wants to study the Word with other women, celebrate what God is doing in someone else’s life as easily as her own and be around other women who just get it.

I believe there are so many women in the Dallas area praying that exact prayer. Maybe this is one way God starts to answer it.

I don’t want you to leave saying “that was a good event.” I want you to leave with a new friend’s number in your phone. I want you to leave believing God again for something you’d almost stopped believing Him for. I want this to become a community, not a moment. One woman’s obedience doesn’t diminish another woman’s calling, it reminds us God is still moving through His daughters.
