Parenting is Hard. Despite how "mommy wine culture" on social media portrays it, drinking alcohol to cope with stress actually can make parenting and life in general even more of a challenge. Join Liz Langevin, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with South Windsor Youth & Family Services to talk about what alcohol provides for us, what it takes away, how it impacts our brain and its potential to send a message to our children about substance use that we do not want. We will talk about healthy alternatives to manage our stress as well as helpful "quit-lit" and podcasts that provide opportunities to learn more about alcohol and its effects. If you’ve been questioning your relationship with alcohol and want to know more about the “sober curious” movement, please join us!
*This event will be held in the Board Room, accessible through the Administration Hallway on the lower level.
