This course of instruction is designed around the defensive use of the revolver. The revolver is often forgotten in defensive use and is considered by some as antiquated and has no purpose. The revolver is still relevant, has many uses, and if you’re looking to expand on, or learn more about revolvers and their use, this course is for you. Objectives:
Nomenclature and Maintenance of the Revolver
Revolver types and Accessory Selection
Holsters, Reloading Options, Sights
Ammunition Selection for your revolver/zeroing
Proper Grip and Trigger Press
Shooting for Accuracy and at Speed
Reloading the Revolver
Student Requirements:
A revolver of good quality – (4 inch barrel or less preferred but not required)
Quality Belt Holster or pocket holster if a J frame – We will talk about holsters
Reloading Device of some sort – (Speedloader, Speed Strip, Dump Pouch)
200 Rounds of practice/range ammunition
10 Rounds of personal defense or carry ammunition – (If you have it, not needed as we will discuss this)
Eye and Ear Protection – (electronic preferred but not required)
Note Book, Pen, and Sharpie
Nylon Cleaning brush – (can be an old tooth brush)
Registration Policy and Terms: Due to the unknown nature of scheduling, along with maintaining a minimum student count, a 50% refund will be given if you cancel your registration for any reason prior the event start date. If Valiant Training Solutions cancels the event, a FULL refund will be given. You may transfer your registration to another student but please email [email protected] with the new registrant’s name and email and the order number attached. Thank you and see you on the range! REMINDER: Range Fees may be extra and can range from $10 to $25 depending on the range location and host. Be prepared to pay these fees on the first day of class.
Note: Students should have a basic understanding of firearms safety and safe handling prior to attending this course.
