Tim Shephard - Violin
Kallan Francis - Guitar
Edmund Black - Keys
James Ho - Bass
Jackson Mack - Drums
"Drawing inspiration from the likes of Oscar Peterson, Ella Fitzgerald, Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock, Tim's compositions range from classic swing through to jazz fusion, aiming to bring undeniable toe-tapping grooves to his COMA debut.
The Firebolts Quartet
Paolo Guttilla - Saxes
Kallan Francis - Guitar
James Ho- Bass
Jack Bartron- Drums

Having previously performed at the Wheatsheaf earlier this year, The Firebolts return as a stellar quartet to perform in COMA’s 2025 emerging artist program. This group of astounding musicians, whom initially formed the group as jazz students from the Elder Conservatorium are eager to play and perform with the utmost freedom, expression and mutual love for music. With a setlist consisting of all original compositions, taking influence from musicians including John Coltrane and John Scofield, the Firebolts are quickly establishing themselves as promising young Australian jazz musicians.
JT Quintet
Johnny Turner - Sax
Hugo Evans - Guitar
Edmund Black - Keys
Daniel Cavallaro - Bass
Jackson Mack - Drums
Johnny Turner is a young and emerging saxophonist currently in his first year at the Elder Conservatorium of Music. A passionate composer, Johnny has been writing original music for several years, drawing on jazz and contemporary musical influences. He is thrilled to be selected as one of COMA’s Emerging Artists - an opportunity that not only allows him to share his work with a wider audience but also to develop his voice as a performer and composer. For this performance, Johnny will be joined by the ensemble recording his debut album of original works - featuring seven of his compositions - set for release in the near future.
