About the Equinox:

About the Event:

We are honoring the Autumn Equinox with a ritual hosted by Carol Ludwick, and a broom making workshop led by Arielle and Sarah of the Colvin Coven! We will create a sacred space together that leads into a broom-making workshop. After, we will head outside (if weather allows) to the bonfire for a moon release ritual as we sweep away things that no longer serve us as we head into the new season. When the ritual is complete, we shall close the circle and begin a bardic sharing-round. You are welcome to bring a poem, story, memory etc. to share in community! There will be tales available to read as well.

About our Host:

Carol Ludwick, founder of Acorn to Oak Ceremonies, is a certified lifecycle celebrant who creates custom ceremonies to celebrate milestones, support transitions and honor lives. A storyteller for more than twenty years, she is known for her creative, empathic approach to holding sacred space and encouraging people to root each rite of passage in the story of their lives. Highlights of her services include weddings, memorials, house blessings and community gatherings.

About Colvin House: A beautifully restored 1920s mansion on Chicago’s lakefront, Colvin House serves as a creative hub and event space dedicated to fostering community and celebrating local history.

We have selection of beverages (sodas, beer, wine and a specialty cocktail) for sale onsite at Colvin House!

Please note that we do not allow outside food or drinks at Colvin Events.

Traveling Info:

We are well located for CTA transit, just a couple blocks from the Thorndale Redline stop and two bus stops outside the building.

The first 15 cars can park FREE at George B. Swift Elementary School, just two blocks west of Colvin House (as space allows). Please come to Colvin House's back door (off Thorndale Ave) first to receive a parking permit from staff who will provide further instructions.

We also recommend The Malibu Condominiums (6007 N Sheridan) public garage, just across the street, north of Colvin House. This parking can be validated by Colvin House for $2.00 off.

Those valet rates are as follows:

· 1 Hour: $6

· 2 Hours: $10

· 3 Hours: $11

· 4 Hours: $13

We recommend arriving early if you need to park.
