About this Event
Join us for a captivating exploration of Tbilisi, the capital city of the Republic of Georgia, and its rich past and vibrant present. The opening will feature a talk by project author Nika Tbileli, who will discuss the concept of “AI for Culture” a platform through which AI is used to colorize and transform 150-year-old black-and-white photographs in large-scale, vividly realistic images. Attendees will gain insights into the modern pipelines and processes behind this remarkable colorization and restoration.
Following Nika’s presentation, Mika Tbileli, a fellow artist and collaborator, will provide an overview of Tbilisi’s architectural landscape. He will share details about the city’s iconic buildings and the many layers of history woven into its streets.
This event promises to bring together art, technology, and architecture, illustrating how tradition and innovation intersect in the culturally rich and diverse city of Tbilisi.
