Christy will explore the concept of ceramic stains, including various techniques for preparing colored clay with these stains. She will also showcase examples of projects that typically utilize colored clays. Following her demonstration on how to color clay, participants will have the opportunity to choose two colors of stains to prepare their own colored clay for wheel-throwing into a marbled cylinder.
This workshop will have a combination of discussion, demo and hands-on learning.

-Wheel-throw skill level: Beginner to advanced
-Included: 3 pounds of clay, choice of 2 stains, one bisque and one glaze firing with clear glaze.
-What to bring: basic throwing tools, apron, towel, etc.
