Colorful Minds - Mental Health & Adult Coloring

A year ago on May 20, 2023, Peaced Together Art had its first Adult Coloring Event at The Fox Den No Waste Cafe.

When they discussed working together, Patricia, owner of The Fox Den, mentioned that May is Mental Health Awareness Month. The Fox Den was introducing a new coffee called Ryan's Blend, a coffee blend created to honor Patricia's cousin who battled his mental health illness for the last few years of his life. With that, we decided the coloring event would be a perfect time to promote his blend !

Stacey, owner of Peaced Together Art, found a local Denver artist, Pocket of Sunshine, to be the first coloring page artist. Pocket of Sunshine already had a great portfolio of art geared toward supporting mental health. It was a perfect addition to this new event.Since then, Peaced Together Art has hosted over 30 Adult Coloring Events, including a regular one at The Fox Den on the first Wednesday of each month.

To celebrate Adult Coloring Night's one-year anniversary and support Mental Health Awareness - The Fox Den and Peaced Together Art present - COLORFUL MINDS!

Detailed Agenda and Speaker information:

• Executive Director, Sorin Thomas and Rebecca D'Strana, Fund Development Manager from Queer Asterisk will be joining us to speak on behalf of their organization.
• 
  Join us to learn more about why mental health matters to both businesses, support a local nonprofit through ticket sales and a raffle, and of course, COLORING.

Coloring pages will be created by local artists involved in Adult Coloring Nights this past year. Raffles prizes will be from those artists and local businesses. (Check out our social media for raffles: some examples are pie and sourdough from Bread Chic, locally made ceramics & jewlery, stationary set from Twelve Little Tales, and SO MUCH more!)

You truly won't want to miss this event.Tickets are $25 if you get them by May 10th and then $30 for purchases after May 10th.

-unlimited coloring pages designed by *multiple local artists

Additional raffle tickets can be purchased at the event for $5 a piece.

Where will the Proceeds be going?

All of the proceeds for raffle tickets and 25% of ticket sales will be going to Queer Asterisk. Queer Asterisk is a nonprofit organization rooted in community, local to Colorado, and guided by queer and transgender professionals and leadership.
"We exist to meet a growing need for affirming mental health care to better serve queer and transgender children, adolescents, and adults. Since 2016, we have provided affordable counseling services, comprehensive educational trainings, and robust community programming to promote individual and collective healing and well-being. We envision a vibrant community that embraces authentic expression, where individuals with dynamic and intersecting identities can thrive."

You do not have to be present to win a raffle prize! But there will be one extra special raffle prize that you can only win if you attend.
