As part of Colorado’s 150th anniversary celebration, the acclaimed Legendary Ladies performers will bring six remarkable women of Colorado history to life through storytelling, character performances, and living history:
✨ Featured Legendary Ladies
• Mary Elitch Long – Cofounder of Elitch Gardens and visionary behind the Historic Elitch Theatre
• Margaret “Molly” Brown – Philanthropist, activist, and Titanic survivor
• Ellen E. “Captain Jack” Jack – Fearless mining-era pioneer of Gunnison County
• Frances Wisebart Jacobs – “Mother of Charities” and founder of organizations that evolved into United Way and National Jewish Health
• Maud Nelson – Early professional baseball pioneer and traveling team organizer
• Augusta Tabor – Mining-era entrepreneur and philanthropist remembered for her resilience and generosity
🏛️ The event takes place inside the Historic Elitch Theatre, originally opened in 1891 and recently restored after being closed for 31 years. The theatre also holds a special Hollywood connection — Grace Kelly performed there in 1951 before launching her legendary film career.
