This upcoming semester marks a historic milestone for Colorado School of Mines Men's Rugby—our 60th Anniversary.
As the first rugby club established in Colorado, Mines Rugby has built a proud legacy spanning six decades. From the pioneering players of the inaugural team, including Rick Carlson and Marv Kay, to the generations of Orediggers who followed, this anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate the people, traditions, and achievements that have made the club what it is today.
To commemorate this occasion, we are planning a special 60th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, November 7, 2026. The day will include:
An Alumni Match
A Club Banquet and Celebration in the evening
Opportunities to reconnect with former teammates, coaches, and friends from across the decades
We're providing as much advance notice as possible so alumni can make travel arrangements and secure accommodations early.
