Explore the different ways that color can be used to create mood, atmosphere, and emphasis in a painting. Over the three sessions, we will study how Van Gogh used shades and tones to create his signature style, how Wayne Thiebaud's used bright, saturated colors to create nostalgia in his paintings of everyday objects, and how Georgia O'Keeffe's used color to create natural environments.
