Every second Friday each month throughout 2024, Wilmington's oldest and largest historic site will take history beyond the property for an immersive walking tour of downtown.
On March 8, June 14, September 13 and December 13, the theme will be "Colonial Wilmington & The Revolution." The walking tour will invite guests to learn about how the American Revolution across Wilmington in the 1770s by visiting places important to the town's earliest days, including the former jail, courthouse and market sites. Get a unique perspective on what Wilmington would have looked like 250 years ago!
The walking tour will depart from the Burgwin-Wright House (224 Market Street) at 9 a.m. and run 90 minutes. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring water to drink.
