At some time in the evening, we will leave with our CS'ers to get to Zülpicher Straße - or perhaps first some place for dinner...
Zülpicher is a party mile - so there's lots of offers and that usually leads to the group splitting up at some point and then finding back together again - and so on. A good place to start (since it has the most space for bigger groups - and the entrance fee they ask is quite moderate compared to most other places!) is the "Cubana Bar" ( https://goo.gl/maps/Re3Pyd3xn3m1tUDu8 ) so that's where we're probably heading for first!!! -
Another place where we sooner or later often end up (in spite of yet another little entrance of maybe 5€ or so - usually incl. the first drink…) is the "Cuba Bar" just opposite ( https://goo.gl/maps/87YK3yKj48Rjibqu6 ) - also because they play much less Carnival music 😉 In the past Hanna sometimes could talk to the bouncers and actually got our group in for free at some point!
We also MIGHT try to get into "Oma Kleinmann" pub ( https://goo.gl/maps/P9y2K2H1amEVWSbd8 ), Zülpicher Str. 9, about 250m from ZÜLPICHER PLATZ tram stop down the street on the LEFT, because it's perhaps the most "original" Colognean pub here and the one where they play the most Cologne Carnival music. For those very reasons, however, it's usually super cramped, and we might have to stand in line for very long to get in (hourS! Literally!!!) and thus opt for some other place. ALSO they were actually closed on Weiberfastnacht in recent years...
BUT ACTUALLY WE MIGHT JUST BE ANYWHERE ON ZÜLPICHER - EVEN JUST ON THE STREET (it will be closed for traffic most of the time during Carnival) and have cheap(er) beers and stuff from the Kiosks. So be prepared to invest some time and effort into finding us there 😉

HOW AND WHERE CAN "LATERCOMERS" MEET US ON FRIDAY NIGHT:
Before 9pm we'll surely not yet have made it to ZÜLPICHER STRASSE.
So you have all day to go to your host's place to drop off your stuff with him OR - if you can't or don't wanna do that - store your stuff at main station (see "G: HYPER MODERN LOCKERS SYSTEM AT COLOGNE MAIN STATION (KÖLN HAUPTBAHNHOF/HBF)" on the Main Event Page "Cologne Carnival 2026 - THU 12 Feb -> TUE 17 Feb" - ☞!ⒻⒾⓃⒹ ⒶⓁⓁ ⒸⓈ&ⒻⒷ-ⓁⒾⓃⓀⓈ ⒷⒺⓁⓄⓌ!☜!) and then contact (anyone of) us to find out where we are...
There are several possibilities to get from Dom/HBF to ZÜLPICHER PLATZ tram stop. (check "GET AROUND IN COLOGNE" at the bottom of the Main Event Page "Cologne Carnival 2026 - THU 12 Feb -> TUE 17 Feb" - ☞!ⒻⒾⓃⒹ ⒶⓁⓁ ⒸⓈ&ⒻⒷ-ⓁⒾⓃⓀⓈ ⒷⒺⓁⓄⓌ!☜!).
From ZÜLPICHER PLATZ tram stop look for the big church there and pass it with that church to your left following the rails going down Zülpicher Straße ( https://goo.gl/maps/n27e64Lo3ty ) AND leaving behind you the rails on Ringstraße (the ones that go underground northbound right after ZÜLPICHER PLATZ)!
ALTERNATIVELY you can also go to BARBAROSSAPLATZ tram stop and then walk the 400m from there via Roonstr. over to Zülpicher Strasse ( https://goo.gl/maps/1Uy5cap2L1B2 )!
MOST PROBABLY the group will be at the "CubaNA Bar" or the Cuba Bar just opposite - at least in the beginning. Or perhaps in any of the other pubs around there or even just on the street in between!
In order to find out where we are, try and contact anyone of us first - THOUGH getting hold of one of us might be tricky and take a while...

If you stored your stuff at main station's automatic locker machines, then you can always pick it up at night when you go home. THAT WILL BE MOST PROBABLY AFTER MIDNIGHT - so IF YOU CANNOT use the automatic locker machines but have to use the "Gepäckcenter" counter at the Douglas perfumery instead (IF that still exists...), then also consider bringing your stuff to some other place for at that counter you can only pick it up the next morning...
