Tous les acteurs des filières bœuf et veau sont conviés à participer au 5e Colloque de l’industrie bovine québécoise (CIBQ). Ce rendez-vous incontournable de l’industrie est de retour à Lévis le 17 novembre 2026.
Sur le thème « Passer à l’action », la programmation de la journée met l’accent sur la recherche de solutions aux défis communs de l’industrie. Les présentations aborderont des sujets aussi variés que la compétitivité des filières, le potentiel des aliments invendus comme ensilage pour les bovins de boucherie et les maladies émergentes. Le CIBQ accueillera également trois entrepreneurs qui raconteront comment ils parviennent à valoriser l’achat local dans un contexte de prix élevés.
Créé pour favoriser le développement des affaires et le transfert de connaissances au sein des filières bœuf et veau, le CIBQ est l’un des seuls événements dans l’est du Canada à réunir des représentants de tous les maillons de l’industrie bovine.
Son comité organisateur est composé de représentants des organisations suivantes : Les Producteurs de bovins du Québec, Université Laval, Agriculture et Agroalimentaire Canada, Zoetis, Préval AG et le Conseil de la transformation alimentaire du Québec.

Industry players from all parts of the beef and veal sectors are invited to participate in the 5th Colloque de l’industrie bovine québécoise (CIBQ, Quebec cattle industry symposium). This must-attend industry event is back for another edition on November 17, 2026, in Lévis.
This year’s theme is Passer à l’action (Taking Action). The program for the day is all about finding solutions to common challenges within the industry. Presentations will cover topics such as competitiveness within the sector, the potential for using unsold food as silage for beef cattle, and emerging diseases. Attendees at this year’s CIBQ will also hear from three business owners about how they promote local purchasing when prices are high.
New this year: to reach a wider audience, we will be webcasting the event. Simultaneous translation into English and French will also be available throughout the day.
The CIBQ was created to foster business development and knowledge transfer in the beef and veal sectors. It is one of the only events in Eastern Canada that brings together representatives from all parts of the cattle industry.
The organizing committee includes representatives from the following organizations: Les Producteurs de bovins du Québec, Université Laval, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Zoetis, Préval AG, and the Conseil de la transformation alimentaire du Québec.
