Join us for an exciting Collegiate Shag weekend with Nial Bruce from Melbourne! We have 3 hours of classes on Saturday from 1-4pm and 4 hours on Sunday from 11am-4pm. Nial will be teaching alongside Kate Campbell from Perth.
Nial's love for swing music began when he joined his high school swing band as a saxophone player. Eight years ago, he realized his musical talents had waned and decided to take up swing dancing instead. He was quickly introduced to Collegiate Shag, which became his favorite dance. Along with his teaching partner Annabelle, Nial has worked tirelessly to build the Australian shag dancing scene.
An avid competitor with multiple awards, Nial's passion lies in the social aspect of Shag dancing. He has taught across Australia and internationally, including in the USA and UK, where his focus on social dancing skills has been warmly received. Always up for a dance, Nial is approachable and eager to share his love for Shag, so don't hesitate to ask him for a dance.
Then join SDA for their August Hop on Saturday night for a social dance or two!
