Collective UNBound Liberatory Design Workshop and Mixer

Our Root Ready Rise Series cultivates the practice of design and building spaces and experiences through a justice and liberatory lens.

Join us Thursday, June 18th from 6:30 - 9 pm to experience Root, the first session in our series.

Everything around us is design. In Root, you'll practice noticing how inequity shows up in the design of the spaces we move through every day and begin developing a justice framework for design and experiencing the world differently.

Adrienne Maree Brown's words are a guiding message of our work: building liberatory futures requires nurturing and reconnecting with our ability to radically imagine. The practices in Root Ready Rise help build the tools to reclaim that imagination, shift power dynamics, center community, and create conditions for collective liberation.

7:00 – 8:15 PM | Root Workshop

Learn an accessible framework you can apply in your projects and relationships, and practice together with real-life examples.

8:15 – 8:45 PM | Group Reflection + Cultivate & Compost Ritual

Liberatory practice needs to be cultivated. Share what you're taking with you and what you're releasing.

8:45 – 9:00 PM | Closing Community Connection

Linger and close the evening in community.
