Mildred’s Umbrella Theater Company is proud to start its 25th anniversary season with Jen Silverman’s Collective Rage: A Play in 5 Betties directed by Associate Artistic Director Rhett Martinez. The production runs September 3–19, 2026, at Spring Street Studios #233.
Collective Rage follows five very different women — all named Betty. One is rich, one lonely, one charismatic, one lovelorn, and one spends her time working on her truck. When one Betty decides to stage a play, their lives collide “at the intersection of rage, love, and the thea-tah.” Wildly funny, fiercely queer, and unapologetically theatrical, the play explores identity, desire, and connection in unexpected ways.
