About this Event
Welcome to The Collective! A conscious community gathering for people looking to authentically connect through shared food, presence, music, and play!
Based on the term coined by French sociologist Émile Durkehim, we define collective effervescence as the experience(s) of ecstatic joy, authentic expression, and togetherness that arise when we gather with a shared purpose, producing more meaning in our lives and inspiring action to heal ourselves and the world.

Summer has arrived, and Collective Effervescence is returning back to our original roots! Join us in the green grassy hills of Danehy for a Friday evening out in the park. After the end of your week, come over to slow down your pace, meet, and bond with a multi-age, substance-free, inclusive Boston area community for mindful and mind-expanding individuals. Your presence will add a sparkle to the collective, all are welcome!
The night will start off with a veggie potluck and then lead into some wonderful guided offerings from several members of our community, including:
- Music Jam / Song Share
- Sunset Surya Kriya Yoga & Meditation with Beth
- Clowntact Improv with Josh
- Friendship Bracelet Craft Station with Dani
- Open Dancing/Contact Improv
All activities are optional throughout the night, however we will have ~fabulous~ yoga and movement teachers, improv leaders, musicians, and so much to learn from and connect with under the colorful skies and emerging stars so hopefully you will find the right thing for you.
Emile Durkheim coined the phrase collective effervescence as that magical glue that builds trust and creates the buzz in the air of communal activity. What else is budding in you to share this summer and beyond? What in your life is asking you for more attention and intention? Come join us as we continue to ask that question to the community along with the sweet summer breezes and under the shade of the peaceful park trees.
