About this Event
Ship of Fools: Waanzin, Kunst & Herstel

-- English Version
Ship of Fools: Madness, Art & Recovery is a workshop by Mitchel Breed, inspired by Hieronymus Bosch. Participants share experiences, insights and create collages, reflecting on how societal systems affect our mental health. In this way, we follow in Bosch’s footsteps, depicting the collective madness of our society.
Waan-zin-geving Extended
The workshop is an extension of the Waan-zin-geving exhibition that was on display in the Beautiful Distress House in June this year. This exhibition, together with artists Norbert de Jong, Coen van Rooij and Raf de Wit, explores how art, madness and meaning meet. Beautiful Distress wants to start a conversation with everyone who recognizes themselves in this dance between sense and madness and strength and vulnerability.
