Collage Workshop: Objects of Care
Join multidisciplinary artist Chris Deng at Liz's Book Bar for a guided collage workshop to create visual narratives that reflect the ways we nurture ourselves and others. We'll begin with a brief craft lecture, then dive into an hour and a half of collage-making, where we'll learn how to select images and build scenes that evoke care -- using imagery like a pair of hands, a bowl of food, a cozy blanket, and more. We'll wrap with a gallery walk and casual group share.
This workshop is great for both beginners and the very crafty. All tools and magazines are provided, though you're welcome to bring any images and ephemera you'd like to work with.
