Collage 2023: Dance Matters - Student Education Program

Dear Educators,

San Diego Civic Dance Company invites you to their critically acclaimed dance show in the beautiful and historic Casa del Prado Theatre in Balboa Park.  

Breathtaking costumes, imaginative set pieces, gorgeous theatrical lighting, and professionally trained dancers performing in various dance styles such as tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, modern, musical theater and hip hop.  

Imaginative, surprising and a visual treat for everyone!

Location: Casa del Prado Theater, 1600 Village Place, Balboa Park

Performances: Friday, February 10, 2023 10:00 am and 11:45 am

One-hour program, including a ten-minute question & answer session.

Audience: Grades K through 12

Tickets: $5.00 per student.

One complimentary teacher/chaperone ticket per five student tickets paid.  In addition, each attendee and guest can come come back to see the full length show (2 hours) for free. Additional tickets available for $5/each.

Reservations: Advance reservations are required.

Payments must be received by December 15, 2022. Invoices will be sent out via Quickbooks, you can pay via credit card thru Quickbooks invoice or you can mail check to:

Our student education program is designed to meet State of California Department of Education Content Standards. To help connect the performance to your classroom activities, we provide specially-designed “SDCDArtsNotes”; a study guide containing background on the performance pieces and artists; classroom activities that engage students in reading, writing, listening, analyzing, and creating; resources for further study, and information for students about their roles and responsibilities as members of the audience.
