About this Event
COME WITH YOUR RECIPE THAT USES CITRUS!
You will learn how to design your own recipe page, create a block-printed cover, and hand-bind a small book filled with fresh recipes shared by fellow participants.
- Design your recipe page: We will begin by designing your recipe page—you can simply write out the recipe, or create illustrations to accompany it. We will then scan and print the recipes to create the content pages of the book.
- Learn how to use printing blocks: Next, we will learn how to use foam board to draw and design printing blocks, which will be used to print your own cover for the recipe book.
- Learn Basic five-hole pamphlet binding: Finally, participants will assemble the covers and recipe pages together, and we will learn the technique of basic five-hole pamphlet binding.
- Bring a hand-bound citrus recipe book home! At the end of the workshop, each participant will have a hand-bound book filled with citrus recipes, featuring covers they designed and printed themselves.
