About Chef Kayla Pfeiffer
Chef Kayla Pfeiffer is the chef and owner of Bicyclette Cookshop, Heyday Cookshop, and Thank You Kindly in Naples, Florida. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Pfeiffer has built her career around a style of cooking that is playful, personal, and rooted in a strong sense of place, pairing refined technique with nostalgia, global influences, and the ingredients and producers of Florida.
Pfeiffer gained national attention as a competitor on Food Network's Chopped, where she took home the win. In 2025, she was named a James Beard Award semifinalist for Emerging Chef, and Bicyclette Cookshop was recognized by USA TODAY as one of the Best New Restaurants in America. In 2026, she was named Best Chef in Florida by Southern Palate magazine, and Bicyclette received recognition from the MICHELIN Guide.
Beyond the kitchen, Pfeiffer is committed to mentorship and strengthening the next generation of hospitality professionals. Through her restaurants' partnership with the Culinary Institute of America's externship program, she mentors young cooks and provides hands-on opportunities for students to develop their skills in a working restaurant environment.
Her newest restaurant, Heyday Cookshop, extends that spirit of collaboration through a rotating Chef Residency Program, welcoming chefs from around the country to Naples to cook, exchange ideas, and introduce Southwest Florida diners to new perspectives. Across all of her projects, Pfeiffer's work is driven by the belief that restaurants can be more than places to eat – they can create community, support the people around them, and give both cooks and guests a place to connect.
