Get ready to have your mind blown! Both those experienced and new to jewelry making will enjoy the limitless possibilities of cold connections - itβs easy and fun! From riveting, wire wrapping and stitching with wire to folds and tabs, we will explore ways to connect metals and set stones and beads with NO soldering!
Utilizing traditional hand tools our metal smithing instructor Beth Liggitt guides you step-by-step through the design and creation of your one-of-a-kind jewelry piece. Students will be able to choose metal options and mixed metal or single metal color for their creation. Bronze, copper & brass are included in registration fee, sterling silver will be available as well at an extra charge.
This fun jewelry making workshop is perfect for any skill level, wonderful to do for date or friends night out, and you will leave with a great gift - or gift for yourself!
Experience how much fun it is to make something that you will love to wear. In this workshop, you will learn basics of jewelry design, fabrication and cold connection and finishing techniques. Weβll also look at various ways of adding texture including hammering and stamping and will add patina as desired for that extra pop of contrast.
Materials and tools will be supplied. Just bring your imagination!
This is up close detail work , please bring any magnification eyewear you would typically use for such work, any personal jewelry making tools that you prefer to use. Please wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing. Ages 13 and up..
