Coffee tasting Workshop - Amsterdam JPH
About this Event
Our Coffee Tasting Workshops are back!
Can you taste the difference between a light and a darker roast? Can you tell a fruity coffee from a chocolatey one? How many flavours/aromas are you able to identify in a cup? By the end of this workshop, you might be surprised!
In this workshop, we will taste seasonal coffees side by side and discover what really shapes the flavour in your cup. We’ll guide you through a cupping session, a process we use in the coffee industry to evaluate and compare coffees (don’t worry, we’ll explain everything!). You’ll explore different coffees, from Arabica to Robusta, and lighter to darker roasts, while discovering what makes each one unique.
Along the way, you’ll learn: where green coffee comes from, how it is processed, and how roasting brings out different flavours. You’ll be able to describe what you’re tasting, recognise the differences between coffees and, most importantly, start figuring out what kind of coffee is actually your kind of coffee.
But it is not only about flavour. Every cup has a story, and we will take you behind the scenes to meet the people and places behind our coffees. You will see how we work directly with farmer groups and why that makes all the difference.
What will you need?
A curious palate, an open mind and your best tasting attitude, we’ll take care of the rest!
By the end, you’ll be able to:
- Pick up flavours you might have missed before.
- Understand why coffees can taste so different and get a feel for how origin, processing and roast level shape flavour.
- Feel more confident talking about and choosing coffee.
- Get a glimpse into how Wakuli works with producers to create long term impact
Come curious and leave with a whole new perspective on coffee!
