Join us for our monthly community discussion over coffee event in the dining room at Idol Wolf, bringing together local stakeholders, community leaders, educators, parents, and concerned citizens. The primary goal of this event is to facilitate an open dialogue focused on identifying and discussing solutions to improve the lives of those in the St. Louis region.
Whether you have been a part of the queer community for years, are a strong ally, or are new to the idea of queerness, we welcome you to an open discussion around queer identity and allyship! This conversation will be facilitated by Avi Ivaturi (they/them), a queer St. Louis organizer who currently works at St. Louis Queer Support & Healing (SQSH).
In this interactive workshop, we will learn about how being queer is a political identity, and participants will get the chance to reflect on their own relationships to sexuality, gender, and the normative systems that confine our identities. Participants will also be given tools to skill up as accomplices to the queer people in their lives.
