This month we are delighted to have award-winning mental health activist, motivational speaker and BBC radio presenter Miranda Arieh
Creator of the pioneering ‘HEROES Groupwork Programme’ service, which is now expanding through the NHS. Miranda’s innovative approach to trauma recovery, based on her own lived experience, is being hailed as ‘life-changing’ as it spreads throughout the city.
The past year alone has seen Miranda feature on BBC’s The One Show, BBC Look North, Steph’s Packed Lunch on Channel 4 and ITV News, public speaking both on the topics of mental health and women’s safety.
Miranda’s passion for transformation of mental health service development and delivery is weaved through all the work she creates. The author’s self-penned ‘TIP’ (Trauma Informed Practice) training has so far been delivered to over 300 NHS staff throughout the West Yorkshire region.
The author's inspiring story, journeying from service user to service provider continues to empower people to recognise that they all have the power to take their pain and make it into purpose.
