Coffee Brewing for the Holidays

Just in time for hosting guests for the holidays, this workshop will have you brewing up the best cup of Joe on Christimas morning! There are many people in the coffee supply chain that work hard to provide the best flavor from the farm to your cup, so don’t let the last step (brewing) ruin it. Learn how to source quality coffee, properly store and grind your beans, and brew coffee with several different methods you can use at home. You will also discover some fun holiday coffee recipes to add a little spice to your holiday brew!

Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to:

a) utilize best practices for coffee sourcing, storing, and grinding your beans

b) understand what brewing variables have an effect on the flavor of your final cup of coffee

c) brew coffee using a variety of brewing methods including AeroPress, French Press, Pour Over, and manual espresso press

In addition to the course fee, there is a required materials fee payable at the workshop venue at the beginning of the session. This fee will provide the participant with the coffee needed for the brewing exercises. Any remaining beans can be taken home to practice with and enjoy! The fee will range between $17.50 - $23.50 depending upon the beans selected.
