In this follow up course we finally ditch the terminal and explore user interfaces.
About this Event

Python is an open source programming language that is used for creating web applications, web content, mathematics and system scripting. In this follow up course we will take a break from the logical side of back-end development and get our feet wet with a little bit of front-end coding; we'll make a user interface! Using tkinter, a popular module for creating user-facing layouts, we will design and implement a simple but effective UI for our Python code. This will allow us to run our programs using another platform other than Terminal.

This class is for beginners but assumes you have a basic understanding of Python or have attended Python Basics I, II, III, and IV.

** Registration will start 2 weeks before this class. Computers will be provided. **

Toronto Public Library is committed to accessibility. Please call or email us if you are Deaf or have a disability and would like to request accommodation to participate in this program. Please let us know as far in advance as possible and we will do our best to meet your request. At least three weeks' notice is preferred. Phone 416-393-7099 or email [email protected].
