CAMP DESCRIPTIONAt the end of this five-days Hands-On Coding for Kids Summer Camp, students will be able to introduce basic computer programming terms and concepts such as variables, data types, conditional tests and looping. Students will be introduced to a variety of computer programming languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript programming. In addition, the students will create a variety of computer programs using the following three computer programming languages: Python, Java, and C# programming. Target Audience: For Middle and High School ScholarsThis reading camp will get students to read in fun and unique ways. Our core belief is that literacy is a basic right for everyone. We are committed to educating individuals and raising awareness about the challenges of illiteracy. Campers will be challenged to read as many books as possible before the start of the next school year. Readers will be given incentives or awards for reading achievements. Items such as stickers, bookmarks, popcorn party or bubble gum day.Campers will journal daily, participate in group and individual reading, write short stories and poetry, share during book reviews, partake in reading scavenger hunts and demonstrate their creativity with open mic. The objective of the reading camp is to get them reading, engaging in thought and openly sharing.Arrival Time: 9:00 amPick-Up Time: 4:00 pm- Breakfast will be provided to campers ONLY- Campers will need to bring their OWN lunch- Laptops will be provided to campers during the camp.- Various work-based opportunities such as guest speakers and workshops will be part of the Summer Camps.Contact Person:Dr. Laylon Pricep[email protected]Website: www.pathwaysnc.com
