CoderDojo is a FREE program for kids in grades K-5.Children can freely explore any STEM-themed stations, with mentors available to help them get started, allowing your child to learn and explore on their own.
This Session's Special Guest: Quad Cities-based spoken word poet Henry Morray
Henry Morray will join us to guide students into the world of poetry and creative writing by using wonder, imagination and creativity, students utilize the same skills found in exploring traditional STEM topics. One form of creative writing is ‘black out’ or ‘erasure’ poetry, where students and families use a piece of existing writing, choose areas of the writing to ‘black out’ or erase, and transform the original writing into a poem or other creative expression.
