A workshop for young learners to get hands on with Micro:Bits and the Python programming language.
About this Event

What happens when kids write the code that makes something blink, buzz, or move?

Young makers will learn to program BBC micro:bits using Python. No experience required!

Led by Demonshae Glover, a coding instructor with eight years teaching youth across the city, participants will program scrolling text and images onto an LED screen and leave with a working project, along with the confidence that they can code it themselves.

This workshop is perfect for curious creative coders in training of all ages.

Held in the historic Vander building as part of the generative art exhibition, Mutual Assembly

Hosted by Creative Coding Detroit, Mutual Assembly is an exhibition of generative code-based art created by ten Detroit-based artists. Parents can explore the exhibition while kids participate in the workshop!
