Our very own Lt. Will Reap is a participant in this year's Leadership York County (LYCO). LYCO is a nine-month, experiential course on York County history and community issues. Participants fine-tune their leadership skills, and enhance their knowledge of the community they live and work in. During the course participants who are from very diverse backgrounds and careers choose a class project to assist the community or show appreciation. This year’s project will be centered around First Responder Appreciation.
The main feature will be a 5k race through Carowinds with reduced admission to the park after the race for first responders and their family. The funds raised will be used to provided needed equipment and supplies to local first responder agencies, as well as other appreciation efforts during the month of May Police week is May 12-18 and Emergency Medical Services week is May 19-25.
