COCIR Priority Actions on Healthcare 2024-29 & 65th Anniversary celebration

COCIR is the European Trade Association representing the medical imaging, radiotherapy, health ICT and electromedical industries. We envision personalised and sustainable care that benefits patients, health professionals and healthcare systems.

COCIR sectors have been at the forefront of developing innovative technologies, such as the use of AI in digital health and imaging. We support the objectives of a strong European Health Union: common preparedness and response to health crises, availability of innovative medical supplies, and improvement of prevention, treatment, and aftercare.

We will present and discuss the five core COCIR recommendations to European policy- and decision-makers.

As we begin a new legislative term, COCIR looks forward to collaborating with European decision-makers on advancing key healthcare initiatives.

We are excited to share our five core recommendations which focus on:

• Adequate financing

• Robust and fit-for-purpose legal frameworks

• Ensuring continuity of supply chains and stockpiling

• Eliminating trade barriers

• Leveraging the latest technologies to combat noncommunicable diseases.

The medical technology sector is critical for maintaining healthy populations across Europe.
