This Coastal Survival challenge set along section of coastline of an approximate distance of 15 miles.This challenge is based on an emergency survival scenario, where you may be lost, injured or even cut off by the tide.
This challenge will require you to carry basic overnight camping and emergency survival kit.
Challenges will be sat along the route, where are you well orientate using a map and compass, to both record your route, constructing your own map. Rewards will be given for successful navigation and completion of basic survival tasks that may include: shelter, fire water and food.
Walking and navigating will be done in daylight hours. On what is the shortest night, there will be time to share Survival stories tips and weather if the weather is fair evening fishing on the beach (we will provide a few sets of kit and a bbq if we catch!!!)
Personal kit list must include the following:
Shelter backpacking tent or tarpaulin etc.
Sleeping bag and sleeping mat rated for the season.
Emergency orange survival bag.
Personal cooking kit and non-fire stove (Alcohol, gel, gas, etc)

2 L water bottle, plus water.
Packed lunch for the first day.
Fully windproof and waterproof trousers and jacket.
Warm hat and summer hat.
Strong waterproof walking/hiking boots or shoes (To be worn)
Personal emergency first aid kit.
Notepad, pen and compass.
Small handheld torch and head torch (With fully charge batteries)
Non-locking blade small pocket knife (Blade length must be under 3 inches)
Spare change of clothes and sealed waterproof bag.
This event is run at minimal cost which will include weekend parking, transfers from end point to start point, rewards etc and our administration and logistical requirements.
This event is open to all ages with under 18s going free with an adult booking (1 on 1)

This event will be fun and challenging and a good basis for those who go hiking, tracking or engage in any Wilderness activity. When everything is going ‘right’ it is just basically camping, but if something goes wrong you can quite quickly be a survival situation!
We will be contacting (or if you would like to sponsor us) brands and kit suppliers and hopefully as interest grows for this event we may be able to persuade some of them to sponsor us with even more rewards!
