Coastal Imprint Tiles with Katie Taylor

Join Katie at Greyhope Bay to transform locally sourced clay into coastal inspired tiles.

About the workshop

During this workshop you will be making our own tile to use as a wall hanging/door sign with local artist, Katie Taylor. You will be using locally sourced and processed clay by the artist herself and there will be a range of items to ‘press/indent’ into your tile, please feel free to bring along any alternative things that you also wish to use. You will then be using various underglazes to decorate your tile and then Katie will take them away to be bisque and glaze fired.

About the artist

Katie is a local artist originally from Aberdeenshire, she studied Contemporary Art Practice at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen. Her practice is inspired by her experiences in the natural world and she always challenges herself to find alternative, more sustainable and ecologically beneficial modes of creation.

£15 per participating adult (non-Crew member)

Crew members and adults over 65 years of age receive a 30% discount
