Anastasia Abrashin is gracing the Youngstown studio with a day of private coaching sessions followed by a Master Workshop at 8:15pm! Anastasia is also one of the judges at the Ohio Regional Buckeye Ball the following weekend, August 12th-13th, so this is a great opportunity to get feedback and input from her prior to the competition!A bit about Anastasia... she was born in Perm, Russia, started ballroom dancing at the age of 5, and was part of the formation team “Circle of Friends.” She went on to become 5-Time Russian Champion, and represented Russia in the European and World Championships. She moved to the United States in 1998 and became 3-Time United States Nine Dance Champion in 2003, 2004 and 2005. She was also named the United States Theatrical Arts Champion in 2003. Anastasia retired from professional competition in 2005, and owned the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Buffalo NY from 2005 to 2015. She currently works as the Fred Astaire Dance Studios’ New England Regional Dance Director.
