Coaches vs. Cancer UIC Men's Basketbell Game

Join the University of Illinois Cancer Center for this Coaches vs. Cancer basketball game when the UIC Flames men's basketball coaches will be sporting one-of-a-kind sneakers painted by patients, players, coaches, friends and UI Health Pediatric Hematology/Oncology doctors and nurses.

A January 16 shoe-painting pizza party and the upcoming February 16 game against Missouri State are part of the annual Coaches vs. Cancer program, a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. The Cancer Center, UIC Flames and UI Health organized the events.

The Flames tipoff against Missouri State at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, at Credit Union 1 Arena, 525 South Racine Avenue in Chicago.

The Cancer Center is part of UI Health at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). A Cancer Center partnership with the Flames is an opportunity to share information about cancer awareness, prevention, screening and clinical trials with our community of students, faculty, staff, their friends and families, and sports fans at games.
